A rip in the space-time continuum forces the Robinson's, a family of space colonists, to crash-land on an unknown planet. Now, they must battle an alien environment to escape the planet and reach safety. Lost in Space is an American science fiction television series and is a re-imagining of the 1965 series of the same name (itself a re-imagining of the 1812 novel The Swiss Family Robinson), following the adventures of a family of space colonists whose spaceship veers off course. "With an epic filmatic musical score throughout, this re-imagined Lost in Space series is every bit the successor to both the previous movie and TV series. Every episode having me on the edge of my seat (although you have to wonder how much trauma can one family take every day), it is a beautiful mix of adventure, action and mystery with each episode offering something new and raising more questions while answering others" - Chris Holgate

4. NARCOS (2015-17)

Netflix chronicles the rise of the cocaine trade in Colombia and the gripping real-life stories of drug kingpins of the late '80s in this raw, gritty original series. Also detailed are the actions taken by law enforcement as they battle in the war on drugs, targeting notorious and powerful figures that include drug lord Pablo Escobar. As efforts are made to control cocaine, one of the world's most valuable commodities, the many entities involved -- legal, political, police, military and civilian -- find themselves in conflict.

"Narcos is brilliantly crafted. Well executed. Season 1 and 2 showed the fall of Pablo Escobar and it was one hell of a ride. You would definitely feel for him when he was shot. Season 3 dealt with the Cali Cartel. First 4 episodes were slow. But it catched its pace after it and at the end it was a race for victory. Javier Pena you as an agent needs super applause. The way you took down all of them and the interview at the end unleashing the corrupted side of the government was bang on and way too brave for your career considering how it works.Pedro Pascal, boy you were way above your league. Narcos is worth a watch and it is definitely binge watching." - Priyanka Munshi.

5. Homeland (2011-20)

CIA operative Carrie Mathison is on the lookout for an American prisoner who may have joined forces with Al-Qaeda. Released from hostage after eight years, Marine Nicholas Brody becomes her suspect.

This is one of the best TV series I have ever watched in my life. This is probably one of the best spy or should I say political thriller of all time. As the Guardian rightly mentioned it has everything - Islamist attacks on European capitals, fake news, troll farms, Russian electoral interference and a US president-elect at war with the intelligence services. I must also include American hegemony on middle east and Afghanistan – all are covered".- Soubhik Das

6. THE BIG BANG THEORY (2007-19)

The lives of four socially awkward friends, Leonard, Sheldon, Howard and Raj, take a wild turn when they meet the beautiful and free-spirited Penny. First things first, don't compare this show with F.R.I.E.N.D.S. , fans of big bang theory always faced an issue, as their favorite show is compared with friends just because the plot of this show is somehow similar with Friends. This show proved that science can be funny and interesting as well, not being dumb always makes the audience laugh. The ending of this show is one of the best endings we've ever seen in our life. So make some popcorn, make your bed, because this show won't let you leave your bed.

7. FARGO (2014-17)

Lester Nygaard, an insurance salesman, lives a life of monotony with his uninteresting wife. He meets Lorne Malvo who convinces him to tag along in search of a killer.

"With each season being a mini-series in its own, the pace is sufficiently satisfactory. Although you might find season 3 a bit slow, the ingenious plot totally makes up for it. Honestly I found this series quite easy to binge watch. The story line is tight and absolutely unpredictable with marvelous surprises and number of twists thrown in your way as it makes its way through snow clad ‘Minnesota nice’. Bloody, gruesome murders with bodies being disposed in large meat grinders, violence, drugs, FBI hostile takeovers, quirky, eccentric characters- everything you expect in a crime show and everything that surpasses these expectations blended with some dark comedy and yet with a totally unanticipated plot is what Fargo unravels. The cast is super talented and their performances are top notch. Billy Bob Thornton is amazing as the malicious serial killer-Lorne Malvo, Kirsten Dunst, Martin Freeman, Colin Hanks, David Thewlis are just a few names from the enormous and highly talented."- Idiot box recommendations.

8. SILICON VALLEY (2014-17)

Richard, a programmer, creates an app called the Pied Piper and tries to get investors for it. Meanwhile, five other programmers struggle to make their mark in Silicon Valley. "

Arguably the best ending to a TV series that I've seen. If you watch all six seasons, you'll get a complete story that starts in one frame of mind, and ends in a completely different one, with a natural progression and evolution along the way. The characters are hilarious. The world building is fantastic. And as you're laughing so hard, it's legitimately saying something. It's a tale of a Silicon Valley startup, exploring themes of technological alignment, ego, materialism, consumerism, greed with a dose of mental health... and it's magnificent. I don't consider it hyperbole to put this among the best TV shows in history. If you want to really judge a series, judge it on a whole, and the denouement is arguably the most important piece... how do they end it? As I said in the opening, this is as good as it gets... as far as delivering a well themed concept from start to finish without missing a beat, this belongs in the conversation with "Breaking Bad" as just being that outstandingly complete. Mike Judge is the John Hughes of our time... he's putting out less work than Hughes did, but as far as really capturing the human and cultural side of a generation, it's hard to argue that Idiocracy, Office Space, and this, aren't seminal works that explicitly define a period of time. Heck, I'll even put Bevis and Butthead on that list. This is hilarious... a complete linear narrative with theming as good as it gets, and a perfect ending. I loved every moment of this show... my only complaint is that seasons didn't have 22 episodes so I could stay in this world longer."- Apelike Jay.

9. mr. robot (2015-19)

Elliot, a cyber-security engineer suffering from anxiety, works for a corporation and hacks felons by night. Panic strikes him after Mr Robot, a cryptic anarchist, recruits him to ruin his company. "

MUST SEE!!! I think this is one of the very different Drama series I have seen so far. The series focuses on a 'engineer in day, hacker in the night' kind of guy named Elliot Alderson who basically struggles with his own insecurities while trying to change the world for good. Elliot is what we say an 'White hat' hacker who tries to take down one of the biggest company in the world(fictionally) and free the world from corruption and evil deeds despite his messed up life full of betrayals and mental delusions. Now enough about the plot lets talk about the cast. All the actors has done a very good job especially Emmy Award Winner Rami Malek and Christian Slater who has played the role of Elliot's dad."- Manoj natrajan.

10. Jack ryan

Author Tom Clancy introduced the character of Jack Ryan in a series of books before Ryan headed to the big screen in several films. Now the former U.S. Marine is featured in an episodic series for the first time, with John Krasinski portraying Ryan in this Amazon original thriller that centers on Ryan as an up-and-coming CIA analyst. He is thrust into a dangerous field assignment for the first time and uncovers a pattern in terrorist communication. That launches him into the middle of a dangerous gambit with a new breed of terrorism that threatens destruction on a global scale.
